About Sam
Sam Weavers is an 18 year old award-winning entrepreneur, speaker, and community advocate, best known as the founder and owner of Sam’s Popcorn, a thriving retail company he launched in 2016.
Through his company, Sam produces, sells, and distributes gourmet
flavoured popcorn to customers across Australia, with products stocked in more than 55 local stores.
Driven by a passion for giving back, Sam founded the Kids4Kids fundraising program in support of the Childhood Cancer Association. Through this initiative, schools, sporting clubs, businesses, and individuals sell Sam’s Popcorn products, with 40% of proceeds from
participating sales donated directly to the organisation.
To date, Sam has contributed approximately $30,000 to the Childhood Cancer Association, alongside additional donations to causes including the Fred Hollows Foundation, Cancer Council, and local community projects.
Sam’s achievements have been widely recognised through numerous prestigious awards. These include the Fred Hollows Foundation Junior Ambassador Award (2018), multiple Channel 7 News Young Achiever Awards (Leadership and People’s Choice, 2019), the Australia Day Outstanding Citizen Award (2022), and the South Australian Volunteer Award (2023). In 2025, he was named a World Youth Legacy Ambassador, reflecting his growing international impact.
An experienced and inspiring speaker, Sam has presented to over 11,000 people across Australia and internationally. His engagements include keynote presentations at the Asia Pacific Autism Conference in Singapore, the Autism Works Employment Summit at the Adelaide Convention Centre, and numerous school and community events. As someone on the autism spectrum, he is a passionate advocate for inclusion and shares his personal journey to inspire others.
